Do the US States run cultural programs, like art galleries or TV stations?

In some countries the states or provinces run art galleries or TV channels to represent and present the local culture of the citizens.

There are government grants available for programs in education of the arts. It is up to the curator of the museum or galleries or program directors to apply for the grants. Some of the grants are through the federal government some are through the state and local governments. For the most part it is public and private donations that help keep the arts alive.
